Thursday, December 10, 1936.....No company today. The nurses stay in my room most of the time. They have named Sonnye “Erlanger’s Sweetheart.” Max & I had a little spat tonight.
**I found in one of Mother's other journals that the reason they stayed in the hospital so long was because Myrtis Shahan (her mother-in-law) paid for her to stay for three weeks. They were renting a house on top of Lookout Mtn., the home of Mrs. H.C. Chapman (Llew Chapman's paternal grandmother) and at that time not many people lived up there during the wintertime.**
